On thrusday, it has been a month since I started to write the blog. A lot happened in september, therefore I decided to share with you a sneak peak of my visits. Here’s my cultural retrospective from september 2015, I hope you’ll enjoy it !
RETROSPECTIVE | September 2015
September was for me a very interesting month. A lot has happened ! Firstly, of course, I want to talk about the beginning of blogging. After those first few weeks, I have to admit that unfortunately, I didn’t have the time to write as much as I would have liked… I was aiming for 3 or 4 articles a week, and I merely published 2 articles weekly. In october, I will organize better and try to write to you more often. Especially, that I have a lot of things to show you this month !
As you may see, in september I started to fully enjoy living in Paris. Therefore, there is something important that I want to underline here. It actually IS possible to do a lot of fun things in Paris for free, or almost free ! I have two favourite websites for tips for free or cheap thigs to do around here. The first one is Paris Friendly, where you have for each day, the outline of the free and fun things to do and the second one, quite similar is Sortir à Paris. Thanks to those websites, I went for a free Organ concert at Notre Dame and a concert of contemporary music at the House of Radio. When you’re young (usually under 26 or 28) there are a lot of discounted or even free tickets for plays (if you look for them of course) ! Thanks to that, we were able to see a show of U-theatre at the Théâtre du Chatelet. You probably don’t know what is U-theatre, don’t worry, I had never heard of it before the play. It is a kind of mix between dance and martial arts. It was great and surprisingly, quite refreshing in the way they mixed up two traditional disciplines. If you want to see what it looks like, chekout the video HERE !
In september, I also found the time to go for automnal walks. You know, the ones where you walk around falling leaves and pick up chestnuts ! Here are some pictures of our sunday trip to the Cité Universitaire, which is the international campus for Paris universities. The weather was so good and so warm, that the only sign of autumn was the colour of the trees !
I hope that your september was as joyful as mine, and that you were able to enjoy the last days of summer ! Now it’s time to get ready for autumn, with a lot of fun things ahead !
